12/21/2023 0 Comments Ganabelt tales of arisebut on the other hand.īossfights are too confusing, they are not clean, you could say they are insufficient if you wanted to give an objective judgment, because it is NOT ABSOLUTELY CLEAR WHEN TO DODGE! There are too many elements on the screen and this is a sign of bad game design, I can give some advice: I loved the fact that to beat the 2nd Second Lord Ganabelt on Moderate Difficulty you MUST Craft and Equip yourself with Alexandrite, THAT'S HOW YOU MAKE CRAFTING USEFUL! I LOVE IT. Let's say that the Bosses are not difficult in themselves but they are DIFFICULT TO WIN WITHOUT WASTE CONSUMABLES, I often restart the Bossfight until I learn the patterns and become satisfied with my performance saying "ok, this was a good fight"Īlthough on the one hand I praised them for their difficulty, they are not perfect. After FF7 when I was a child this is the first game where beating a Lord makes me say "I've done it! I can see how the story goes!" I played Vesperia, Xillia and Berseria but these are the first Bossfights with stages, cutscenes and complexes pattern, and last but not least, the ability to dodge and parry. Bosses WILL CONSUME ALL YOUR HEALING ITEMS, AND IT'S GREAT. One thing I hate in JRPGs is having 100 Potions that I will never use. this is the first game that is making me feel the difficulty, the importance of consumables and money. and for reasons I never expected: BOSSFIGHTS!Īlthough I have played a lot of jrph etc. It's a really overwhelming fight when you first see it, but it's actually a pretty cool encounter.ĭespite its many flaws I'm loving this game. In that phase he doesn't have his shield or copies though so you can just burn him down. It also doubles as an enrage mechanic since (at least on hard) he'll just recast it over and over once he hits about 15% HP until one of you dies. Kill his copies before he's done casting it to cancel the mystic art, or tank the damage. ![]() Indignation is kind of hilarious because it's just straight up an MMO mechanic. ![]() You're really supposed to rely on Rinwell and Law's boost strikes to counter his meaty attacks and make openings for damage. He's also got spicy counters for anyone who dares to spend more than about two seconds within melee range. Tweaking things in the Strategy menu helps too. I think I used 7 in that fight as well as a handful of Apple Gels.Īlexandrite accessories help immensely since a lot of his attacks are light element. I was low on Orange Gels and you can't buy them yet at that point, so I had to just be liberal with Life Bottles. He's the first boss with real mechanics instead of something that you can more or less just dodge and spank willy nilly. I'm playing on hard and Ganabelt was definitely a huge spike.
